Digital Communications Field (Harada Laboratory)
Research on 5th Generation (5G) / 6th Generation (Beyond 5G/6G) Mobile Communication Systems
Kyoto University's Harada Laboratory is currently conducting research on next-generation wireless communication systems (Beyond 5G/6G mobile communication systems). Wireless communication systems, typified by mobile phones, are transitioning from the 4th generation systems used worldwide to 5th generation (5G) systems that support a wide variety of use cases. Our laboratory is researching and developing the technologies needed to realize the 6th generation systems known as Beyond 5G or 6G, which will achieve even broader bandwidth and ultra-high-efficiency frequency utilization. Beyond theoretical research, we carry out implementation and demonstration experiments, producing advanced and practical research results in the field of digital communications that contribute to society.
